1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
QuickQR is designed with privacy at its core. Most features function completely offline on your device without transmitting data to any remote server.
Camera Data: QuickQR requests camera permission exclusively for real-time QR code and barcode scanning. We do not store, record, or transmit camera feeds or captured video anywhere. The scan happens locally on your device hardware.
Photos & Storage: QuickQR may request storage or photo library permission solely to allow you to import QR images from your gallery to scan them, or to save customized QR codes created in the app to your device photo gallery. We do not access or collect other personal photos or files.
QR History & Favorites: All your created and scanned QR history is stored 100% locally on your device via SQLite / local storage. We do not sync or upload your scan history to external servers.
2. Third-Party Services & Monetization
Our app integrates trusted Google services to provide advertising and in-app purchasing features:
Google Play Billing: When you purchase QuickQR Pro subscriptions or lifetime licenses, transactions are securely processed by Google Play. We do not receive, store, or process your credit card, debit card, or banking details.
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): We may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), IP addresses, and app performance analytics to serve non-personalized or personalized ads in compliance with Google Play Developer Policies.
3. Data Retention and Security
Because we do not maintain a custom backend server to store your personal scans or documents, your data remains safely on your personal device. When you clear the app cache/data or uninstall QuickQR, all local history is permanently erased.
4. Children's Privacy
QuickQR is a general audience utility application and does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
